Kindergarteners Study Marches

John Philip Sousa was known as the "March King." The kindergarteners listened to two of his marches, The Stars and Stripes Forever and Semper Fidelis. Then we marched around the room, keeping the steady beat with paper plate "cymbals."

Sometimes we kept the beat up high.

Sometimes we kept the beat down low!
Where else could we put the beat?
